After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to the Hulishan Fortress, which is a key historical and cultural site. It is the product of the Westernization Movement, where European architectural styles were briefly incorporated in Chinese Qing and Ming architectural styles.
Next proceed to South Putuo, which is situated below the Five Old Gentlemen Peaks in the southern part of the island of Xiamen. It was first built in the Tang Dynasty and is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in Southern Fujian. Then visit the Huandao Road. This 30 kilometer long road framing the sea is one of the most scenic roads in Xiamen.
After lunch proceed to Gulangyu Island; renowned for its delicate natural beauty, its ancient relics, and its varied architecture. Then go on to visit the famous seaside park of Shuzhuang Garden. The tour finishes at the Xiamen Tourist museum.
Return to the hotel. Your local guide will suggest a restaurant option and shopping destination for the rest of the day.
