After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to Monkey Island. Located opposite Xincun Port, 16 kilometers to the south of Lingshui County, Monkey Island is the only natural reserve of its kind in China. The island's mountainous backbone and thick forest offer an ideal environment for primates.
The guide will then accompany you to the Traditional Harbour Village - located in the heart of Xinchun Village center. Approximately 6000 people are said to live in this shallow harbour in a manner nearly unchanged for 300 years. This cultural minority is called the Danjian people and visiting them is an unforgettable experience.
Return to the hotel. Your local guide will suggest a restaurant option and shopping destination for the rest of the day.
