After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to Nanjing to visit the Nanjing Earth buildings. They are considered a wonder of oriental architecture. Spread around the west of Fujian Province, there are 4,000 square building and 360 round ones, which are quite breathtaking. The buildings usually are built in two or three circles of rooms and chambers.
Ancient Chinese cultures believed the sky was round and the earth square. Round and square buildings are representative of the sky and the earth. Round also implies unification and perfection, which is a foremost ideal of Chinese people.
You will visit the Tianluokeng Building and Yuchang Building which are the most famous amongst the Nanjing Earth Buildings.
After lunch proceed to the Taxia Village. There are more than fifty square and round earth buildings in Taxia Village, as well as ten stunning stone bridges across the central creek.
Return to Xiamen. Your local guide will suggest a restaurant option and shopping destination for the rest of the day.
